Walt Disney World recently announced several discount packages for the 2025 season including the always popular free dining offer and some of the deepest discounts we’ve seen in recent memory. 2025 promises to be a great year to visit Walt Disney World at a discounted cost. Let’s dig into the offers and find out what one is best for you!
Free Dining!
Free Dining is back! According to the Disney website:
Enjoy a FREE Disney Dining Plan when you purchase a non-discounted 3-night, 3-day Walt Disney Travel Company package that includes a room at a select Disney Resorts Collection hotel and a theme park ticket with a Park Hopper option—for arrivals most nights from:
- May 27 to June 26, 2025
- July 7 to August 6, 2025
Packages may be available for longer lengths of stay.
Disney offers 2 different dining plans. They are:
- Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan
- Each person on the reservations receives:
- Two counter-service meals per night
- One snack or non-alcoholic beverage per night
- One refillable drink mug
- Each person on the reservations receives:
- Disney Dining Plan
- Each person on the reservation receives:
- One counter-service meal per night
- One table-service meal per night
- One snack or non-alcoholic beverage per night
- One refillable drink mug
- Each person on the reservation receives:
Note that some restaurants such as the signature dining locations and some character dining locations cost 2 table-service credits per person. Also, not all locations are available via the Dining plan, so be sure to check to make sure your must do’s are included if that’s a non-negotiable for you.
Which dining plan you receive is based on the level of the resort you book. Value and Moderate resorts receive the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan while Deluxe resort guests receive the Disney Dining Plan.
Let’s be honest, not paying for food during your Disney vacation is pretty sweet. As we all know food adds up incredibly fast as your tapping your magic band or phone to pay and ignoring prices. But is it a good value? Well, like most things in life, that depends.
Since Free Dining applies to everyone in the room, families of 4 that stay in one room together are going to realize the biggest savings. Couples or parties that choose to split up between multiple rooms at less than full occupancy can do better with other discounts.
The other thing to think about is that these dining plans generally provide you a lot of food, especially the Disney Dining Plan that offers the table service option. And using these credits and eating all that food requires significant planning. These are generally the two biggest complaints you hear from Disney Dining plan users: it was too much food and we planned everything around eating. For some people that’s the point of a Disney Vacation. If that’s not you it’s something to consider before taking advantage of this offer, especially when there are other offers to choose from!
Stay Longer and Save!
The next discount offer that Disney recently released is their Stay Longer and Save offer. According to the Disney website:
Save up to 30% on rooms at select Disney Resorts Collection hotels when you stay 5 consecutive nights or longer this summer. Plus, enjoy other savings for shorter stays. This offer is valid for stays most nights from May 1 to September 30, 2025.
When you stay in the magic at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can enjoy the same legendary detail, storytelling and service found in the theme parks—along with an array of benefits.
The breakdown of savings is as follows:
Savings | Resorts |
For stays most nights from May 1 to September 30, 2025: Save 30% for stays of 5 or more nights Save 25% for stays of 1 to 4 nights | Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort (Disney Vacation Club) Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village Disney’s Beach Club Resort Disney’s Beach Club Villas Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Disney’s BoardWalk Villas Disney’s Contemporary Resort Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort – King Bed Rooms Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Disney’s Old Key West Resort – 2-Bedroom Villas Disney’s Riviera Resort Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Disney’s Yacht Club Resort The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa |
For stays most nights from May 1 to September 30, 2025: Save 25% for stays of 5 or more nights Save 20% for stays of 1 to 4 nights | Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort Disney’s Old Key West Resort – Deluxe Studios & 1-Bedroom Villas Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside |
For stays most nights from May 1 to September 30, 2025: Save 20% on rooms for stays of 5 or more nights Save 15% on rooms for stays of 1 to 4 nights | The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort Disney’s All-Star Music Resort Disney’s Art of Animation Resort Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort Disney’s Pop Century Resort |
This a rather typical breakdown of savings across resorts. Generally the deluxe resorts will realize the most savings, followed by moderates, with values offering the least savings. That’s generally true here, but a couple things stand out. First, Port Orleans French Quarter is often an outlier among the moderates and sees the lowest savings. That’s not the case here. Second, All-Star Sports receives the same discount as moderates. At value prices that’s not going to be a huge difference from other values, but if your goal is find the cheapest price then that’s something to make note of.
Room only savings are my preferred discount to take advantage of. We travel as a couple so the room cost is always the most expensive line item in the budget (though with ticket prices rising that’s getting close!). We are also valuing flexibility more and more so the idea of planning the entire vacation around dining doesn’t really work for us. If we were planning to travel during this discount period this would be the deal we used. That’s only true because we aren’t annual passholders or Florida residents because….
Up to 40% off for AP holders & Florida Residents!
That’s right, Disney is offering a 40% discount in 2025! This continues the trend of improved discounts for 2024 and now 2025. According to the Disney website:
Annual Passholders can stay in the magic and save with this special offer, valid on rooms at select Disney Resorts Collection hotels.
- Save up to 40% on rooms for stays most nights from June 1 to July 31, 2025
- Save up to 35% on rooms for stays most nights from May 1 to May 31, 2025
When you stay at Disney Resorts Collection hotels, you can enjoy the same legendary detail, storytelling and service found in the theme parks—along with an array of benefits.
Here’s the resort by resort Annual Passholder room rate discount chart:
Savings | Resorts |
Save up to 40% | Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort (Disney Vacation Club) Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village Disney’s Beach Club Resort Disney’s Beach Club Villas Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Disney’s BoardWalk Villas Disney’s Contemporary Resort Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort – King Bed Rooms Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Disney’s Old Key West Resort – 2-Bedroom Villas Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside Disney’s Riviera Resort Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Disney’s Yacht Club Resort The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa |
Save up to 35% | Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort Disney’s Old Key West Resort – Deluxe Studios & 1-Bedroom Villas Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter |
Save up to 30% | The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort Disney’s All-Star Music Resort Disney’s Art of Animation Resort – Family Suites Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort Disney’s Pop Century Resort |
Once again this is fairly typical with 2 notable exceptions. Again, All-Star sports is offering outsized savings among the value resorts. Even more notable is that Port Orleans Riverside is offering the same discount as the deluxe resorts. This means that there are dates where a room at Port Orleans Riverside can be booked for under $200. That’s one of the best deals we’ve seen in years!
If you’re someone that loves a good deal then 2025 is shaping up to be the best year since pre-pandemic to visit Walt Disney World. The release of pent up demand coupled with a relative lack of big ticket new offerings, layered on top of more competition in the Orlando area means that Disney has to try a lot harder to entice people to the parks. On the plus side, the never ending major construction at EPCOT is over (though we’re about to get major construction at the two Kingdoms: Magic and Animal), and wait times have been down across the board over the last 6 months or so. I’m excited to see if these conditions carry over from the on-paper theory to real world experience. Take advantage of one of these great offers by booking a placeholder trip – you can always cancel with no fees! Then, check back in a few weeks to see if it’s worth a trip.
