Walt Disney World Resort Value Hotels

Walt Disney World Resort offers a variety of accommodations for guests, including the budget-friendly Value Hotels. These hotels provide an affordable option for families and guests looking to enjoy all that Disney has to offer without breaking the bank. Let’s compare the different Value Hotels available at Walt Disney World Resort.

The first trio of resorts, are commonly referred to as “the All Stars” because they are so functionally, similar. They all have similar amenities, are a similar size, and have over the top theming. The theme itself is the only real difference between them. One thing to note is that All Star Sports attracts youth athletic teams, making it potentially the rowdiest of the three resorts. Don’t expect any of the three to be serene by any stretch, these are high energy resorts. If the vibe of your trip matches that energy or you’re just focuses on value for your money, these can be great options.

Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort

Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort

Theme and Atmosphere:

  • This hotel is themed around popular Disney movies, including “101 Dalmatians,” “Toy Story,” “Fantasia,” “The Mighty Ducks,” and “The Love Bug.”
  • The decor is whimsical and enchanting, with larger-than-life characters and movie scenes.

Amenities and Features:

  • Features two main pools: the Fantasia Pool and the Duck Pond Pool.
  • Offers a food court with a variety of dining options, such as chicken nuggets, sandwiches, and desserts.

The next two Value resorts have one very big amenity that separates them from the All Stars – the Skyliner. The Skyliner provides an alternative to the often maligned Disney Bus Transportation. We have no real issues with the buses, and there is a nostalgia factor for me. However, the Disney Skyliner system offers convenient “direct” access to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, the Boardwalk resorts, and Riviera. This adds incredible flexibility to the vacation and in my mind is worth the premium pricing when compared to the All Stars.

Disney’s Pop Century Resort

Theme and Atmosphere:

  • Themed around different decades, from the 1950s to the 1990s, with larger-than-life icons representing each era.
  • The decor is nostalgic and fun, with giant yeo-yos, Rubik’s cubes, and more.

Amenities and Features:

  • Features three main pools: the Hippy Dippy Pool, the Bowling Pool, and the Computer Pool.
  • Offers a food court with various dining options, including pizza, salads, and baked goods.
  • Disney Skyliner Access

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

Theme and Atmosphere:

  • Themed around Disney animated films, including “The Little Mermaid,” “The Lion King,” “Finding Nemo,” and “Cars.”
  • The decor is immersive and vibrant, making you feel like you’re in the middle of your favorite Disney movie.

Amenities and Features:

  • Features three main pools: the Big Blue Pool, the Cozy Cone Pool, and the Flippin’ Fins Pool.
  • Offers a food court with a variety of dining options, such as sandwiches, pasta, and desserts.
  • Family Suite room type is a great option for families or groups that want a little more space.
  • Disney Skyliner Access
